Today I was awaken at 4:30AM on a Sunday by Romeo, because he was hungry. He brought his empty dog dish to me to show me that there was nothing in there. Of course it was one of those days where I did not have anything cooked for him. So off to the store I go to buy him some food, something quick and simple so I can go back to bed for a little while longer. Well guess what it did not happen. The food I got he turned his nose up to it. I’ve spoiled him. He sniffed it and I guess he did not like what he smelled because he just sat there looking at me with those big brown eyes, and the next thing I knew I was cooking food for him. So much for extra sleep.
Did you know that a popular human food that is not good for our pups is onions? Ok so you more than likely would not hand you dog an onion to bite on, but when you give him or her food scraps from the table they may contain onions. Too many onion in you dogs diet can damage your dog’s red blood cells and lead them to burst. The signs that this may be going on are that your dog will become anemic, may start to vomit and act weak. Your Vet should be called right away.

Romeo has been good for a while now, so I new it would come to an end soon. He has now decided that he does not like his dog food any more. He use to love this food. Now he goes over to his bowl, takes out a piece walks over to the carpet and drops it there and looks at me. He will not eat it, no matter how hungry he is. I can not figure out what’s change. Has the manufacture changed the formula, I don’t know. So now he want all of his meals home cooked (that is unless I can find another brand that he will like). This dog is very picky it’s a good thing he is so cute.
